Chanukah East to West! “Show-Me-Chanukah”, a combined program by Chabad of Greater St. Louis, Chabad on Campus and Chabad of Chesterfield offered a series of public Menorah lightings and displays throughout the Greater St. Louis region, including Menorah at the University City Loop, the “Tallest Menorah in Missouri” at the Lazaroff Center, and the “Fire & Ice Menorah” at the Chesterfield Mall. Each Menorah featured a public event and celebration on a different night of the holiday.
The sixth annual Menorah Workshop was held on Sunday, November 24 by Chabad of Greater St. Louis and The Home Depot in Brentwood. The event welcomed families to the mega-store to build and paint menorahs for Chanukah, and partake in a variety of Chanukah-themed family activities. Over three hundred Menorahs were made! Let’s give a great, big shout-out to the staff at The Home Depot!
On Wednesday, June 5, 2013 legal experts gathered at the Center of Clayton for Chabad's annual Conference on Talmud & Contemporary Law, a forum for the comparative analysis of legal, ethical and public policy issues under Jewish and secular law. This year's presenters included Rabbis Jonathan Reiss and Shmuel Klatzkin.
The annual Menorah workshop held Sunday, Dec. 2nd by Chabad of Greater St.Louis and Home Depot. The event welcomed families to the Home Depot in Brentwood to build and paint menorahs and partake in a variety of Chanukah-themed family activities.
The program included three Menorah displays throughout the Greater St. Louis region, with a public celebration at each on different nights of the holiday.
Missouri Governor Jay Nixon and First Lady Georganne hosted a Chanukah celebration at the Governor’s Mansion on the fifth night of Chanukah. The Governor issued a proclamation marking the Chanukah holiday.
